Just 11 weeks ago, China Securities was nothing more than an idea that only existed in my mind as I travelled to the Roth China Vegas Conference. I knew it was a winning idea when I listened to Jonathan Mork lead the Chairman’s Workshop and identify the following weaknesses within the space:
- The need for greater organization, preparation and cooperation amongst all industry participants.
- Lack of English communications.
- Fund managers having to personally visit Chinese operations of companies to make assessments – but no ability to easily share information from such personal visits with the world.
- The need to reach out to new investors and audiences, especially retail investors.
When the workshop ended I went straight to Jonathan and shared my solution, he shared it with a few key influencers in the space and here we are. In my first blog post, I thought it would be most appropriate to answer the question…
WHAT IS CHINA SECURITIES?
